Subject	Defi boost racer gauge install

Message	hey, installing the defi boost gauge, 4 wire. Has 12v switched orange, 12v battery wire (constant) red, ground black and illumination white. I see from the tech doc, that the red wire w/ yellow stripe & silver hash marks is positive, is that switched or constant? I don't have a battery in or engine for that matter, can't use MM. What wire should I use for the other (switched or constant) once I figure out whether the red wire w/ yellow stripe & silver hash marks is switch or constant? The green wire w/ red stripe & no hash marks is ground, got that. what wire is used for illumination? Not real clear. thanks for any help, drop by if you can help. thx John
